Some jobs in your organization require more permissions than a standard team member role. For example, Managers, General Managers, and Regional Partners often need access to additional tools or information to perform their duties effectively.
Even among leadership roles, permissions may differ. That’s why it’s important to ensure that each job code has the correct role attached. Assigning the right role helps maintain security, clarity, and proper access across your team.
Why Roles Matter
Roles determine what users can see and do in the system. When a role is assigned to a job code:
All team members with that job code inherit the same permissions
Access stays consistent and aligned with responsibilities
You reduce the risk of over- or under-permissioning users
How to Assign a Role to a Job
Follow these steps to assign a role to a job code:
Go to Settings
Click on Jobs
From the list, select the job you want to assign a role to
Once the job is open, locate the Roles section
Choose the role that best fits the responsibilities of that job
Save your changes
Important Reminder
Once a role is assigned to a job code, it will affect all team members with that job code. Be sure to review the role’s permissions carefully before assigning it.
