If you are looking to motivate your staff and incentivize proper behavior through transparency and healthy competition, creating a Challenge in your account is the solution we have for you!
Follow these steps to create a Challenge from scratch:
1. Go to https://app.axialshift.com/login
2. Type in your credentials (username and password) and hit LOGIN:
3. Hover over the SALES tab on the top menu, and click on the CHALLENGES option from the drop-down menu:
4. Click the green plus sign in the top, right corner:
5. You will be prompted to personalize your Challenge. Fill out the form:
- Name: Descriptive name for your challenge
- Is Contest Active: leave check if you'd like for your contest to be active. Uncheck if you aren't ready for it to be active.
- Description, Prizes, etc: all participating members will see this, but this is where you can explain in more detail what the challenge is about, or what the prizes for winning will be!
- Contest Type: current options are Sales, Sales Per Labor Hour (SPLH), Tip Percentage, and Count of Items Sold
- Participating Group: you can select either Employees or Locations (Stores)
- Start Date: start date for your challenge
- End Date: end date for your challenge
The sections with checkboxes will display more information depending on whether the box is checked or not:
- Specific Hours Only: optional - you can specify exact hours of the day in which the challenge occurs
- Reporting Only: check if you do NOT want employees to see the challenge, but you'd like the reporting for it
- Specific Days Only: optional - you can specify exact days of the week in which the challenge occurs
- Only Display To Participating Team Members: optional - you can choose to show the challenge to all staff or only those who are participating
- Include All Companies in Contest: leave checked if you want all companies (locations/stores) included in the challenge. If not, pick and choose which companies (locations/stores) should be included
- Include All Sales Categories in Contest: leave checked if you want all sales categories included in the challenge. If not, pick and choose which sales categories should be included
- Include Sales Item Modifiers: leave checked if you want all sales item modifiers included in the challenge. If not, pick and choose which sales item modifiers should be included
- Include All Sales Items in Contest: leave checked if you want all sales items included in the challenge. If not, pick and choose which sales items should be included
- Include All Jobs in Contest: leave checked if you want all job codes included in the challenge. If not, pick and choose which job codes should be included
- Include All Team Members in Contest: leave checked if you want all team members included in the challenge. If not, pick and choose which team members should be included
6. Once you have completed the form, click Save to create the contest and you are done!
You will be brought back to the challenges page, and it will display a list of the challenges in your company within the timeframe set by the calendar in the top, right corner of the page.
