How to Create Messages and Channels in the Axial Hub (App)

The Axial Hub allows you to communicate with your team through private messages, job-based channels, or direct messages. Follow the steps below to create each type of conversation using the Axial Shift app.

Accessing the Axial Hub

1. Log in to the Axial Shift app

2. Tap on Hub

   

3. Tap the ➕ (plus sign) located at the bottom right of the screen

   

4. Choose the type of message or channel you want to create

Private Message

A Private Message lets you chat with multiple people, even if they don’t share the same job code.

Steps:

1. From the ➕ menu, select Private Message

2. Select one or more people from the list

   • Participants do not need to have the same job code

3. Tap Create to start the conversation

✅ Best for small group discussions or cross-role communication.

Channel by Job

A Channel by Job is created based on a specific job code. All participants in the channel must share the same job code.

Steps:

1. From the ➕ menu, select Channel by Job

2. Choose the job code you want to create the channel for

3. The channel will include team members with that job code

✅ Best for role-specific communication (for example, all servers or all managers).

Direct Message (DM)

A Direct Message (DM) allows you to message one person in your organization.

Steps:

1. From the ➕ menu, select Direct Message

2. Choose the person’s name from the list

3. The conversation will be created automatically

✅ Best for one-on-one communication.

Using the ➕ button in the Hub, you can create private messages, job-based channels, or direct messages to stay connected with your team in Axial.
